From flyers design, photography, and writing about social events both private and public entities, to client service having a close contact with them during the 4 years duration of HC Electric Vehicles which I co-founded with my brother, and in my current job, Electric Social. Being constantly in closer contact with the client I have the opportunity to hear their pains and needs which are different depending on the company. Now, I decided to go through a master’s degree in Generative Design and AI, to understand the AI, its achievements, and its capabilities.

My job was to analyse clients’ responses, actions, contact, and generate flyers in order to create a strategy to attract them in the most effective way, and I wonder “Is that all I wanted? Using strategies to get their money?” And this master’s degree taught me through the products that I’ve been designing this time, that reach people could mean something more than what I did all this time which was to find needs and exploit them.

My initial projects stemmed from identifying gaps in needs that I noticed along my journey. For instance, I designed SonLab to address the times I would lose ideas or, when I did have them, lacked a way to structure them. I designed Terralia with a cousin’s projects in mind, one that taught people to cook using local community resources, while also considering the high rate of migration from the Peruvian Andes to the capital. I reflected on ancestral customs that leverage local resources for the benefit of the community and the individuals themselves, and how those same resources could be utilized in novel ways, especially given that AI can uncover applications beyond those recognized until now. To be clear, this project was created from my own observation and analysis. Now I’m researching sources that can support my statements.

I don’t let AI take influence over the ideas that directly affect the project’s nuclear concept. AI use must be structured, with the right context and data handling, one can achieve a more desirable outcome. Some people think that telling AI “Implement a web system that helps me earn 1000 euros an hour” they will achieve their goals; they couldn’t be more at risk of wasting their time in a disappointing way. There’s no such thing as effortless success. AI simplifies operations, but it also brings with it new skills to master and additional disciplines to acquire.

I usually express my ideas through songs and by creating stories. In fact, I spend my free time making music videos for my songs and animating my stories using AI. I also play soccer and go to the movies.
